Though Steve Harvey and his ex wife Mary Harvey finalized their divorce back in 2005, there are still some unresolved feelings on her part.
So much so that she’s filed a lawsuit against Harvey claiming that he damaged her soul and now owes her $60 million.
In documents filed earlier this week, Mary said that she’s suffered a number of side effects as a result of their breakup. She claims she’s been suicidal and often self medicates in an attempt to cope.
Mary also asserts that since their separation, she’s lost her son, her business and the joy of Mother’s Day. As the suit writes, “All was loss Mary L. Harvey was dead.”
She’s also suing Steve for child endangerment, torture, conspiracy against rights, kidnapping, murder, breach of contract and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
The document, which TMZ claimed tended to ramble, was not filed by a lawyer but by a woman who claimed to be Mary’s civil right’s activist.
As far as what Steve Harvey has to say about the suit, his attorney Brandon Williams told TMZ, “Mr. Harvey vehemently denies any allegations set forth in the lawsuit. The complaint is meritless, frivolous and the allegations are completely false. We will vigorously defend/counterclaim against the complaint.”
